We are Still here

The Prime Minister announced a restriction on non-essential public gatherings of more than 100 people.

Faith Baptist Church is a relatively small church, and as such we have regular seating for about 80 people.

As a result Faith Baptist Church will continue to hold public services at our regular service times, until directed otherwise.

We understand that some people are unsettled by the current virus warnings etc and as a result we are encouraging our people and visitors to respect others wishes on personal contact (Hand shaking etc) but we are still trying to be friendly and welcoming. For those who are regular attenders who are worried, we do have provision for viewing the service on line, you just have to contact Pastor David to arrange access.

I would encourage everyone at this time to not allow themselves to ruled by fear, to take reasonable precautions, but not to slip into panic.

If we all follow good basic hygiene there really should be very little risk anyway, and there is great benefit in the encouragement that can be both gained and given at our church services.

God loves His children, and wants us to have peace, not fear.

(7)  For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

(27)  Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

This also will pass………

……… but until it does Faith Baptist  Church will continue to honour the Lord with our weekly services, providing a place to (Safely) gather for services, and continuing the services with online supply if the authorities deem it necessary.

Kind regards,

Pastor David Winter
